WONDERFUL BLOG BY THE WAY - You are so right. Although my family is from the south. I grew up in Belem (live in the US no for ages) and could never understant the acai they serve in the South it is not fresh and too watery. I could never add granola to acai. It's mostly consumed with tapioca, sugar and ice cubes in the North. The whole acai fad in the US is dumb, they even have acai shampoo, and I wonder why they call it acai berry, it is not a berry. Do you have any idea why? I have to aggree with you "Cairu" acai icecream is great, it has to be be best icecream place in the planet. Basking&Robins clams 50+ flavors but do they have: Bacuri, taperaba, cupuacu uxi, inga, sapotila, abil and so mamy more that I cannot think of.

I envy your experience that is so cool!
I am actually doing a project on Brazil and your blog posts have been very helpful and interesting.
If you don't mind and you have a few spare minutes would you be willing to answer some questions for me about Brazil? I would really appreciate it.

Wow, this is cool! I'm looking forward to hearing the updates. How long will you living there?

In Japanese they say "やるね！”　（yaru ne...!) which is like "good for you!" in the sense that you're really out there going for it.
